PARMA Recordings presents an immersive program of contemporary works for string quartet, performed by the internationally acclaimed Sirius Quartet. The conservatory-trained Sirius Quartet shines with precision, soul, and raw energy, championing a forward-thinking, genre-defying approach that melds perfectly with the works of six visionary composers: Brian Field, Ian Erickson, Jennifer Castellano, Marga Richter, Mari Tamaki, and Sam Post. These works, alongside a selection of Sirius Quartet's own compositions, make for an innovative concert program that gives new meaning to the concept of a string quartet performance.
