Newsies
ALL REMAINING PERFORMANCES ARE SOLD OUT - we will take a waiting list one hour before each performance. You must be at the box office in person to get your name on the list. Typically we get some tickets returned and we will sell those to the people on the list.
Newsies Take on the Word! Based on the Newspaper strike of 1899, Newsies tells the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged "newsies." When the titans of publishers, Joseph Pulitzer raise distribution prices at the news kids expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what's right!
Newsies features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein . Featuring the rousing songs "Carrying the Banner", "Seize the Day", and "The World Will Know", Newsies is packed with non-stop thrills and a timeless message to fight for what's truly right!
The cast included 50 Seattle Prep students under the direction of Adam Othman, Hunt Beyer and Heather Dawson. With only six performances, tickets will sell out quickly.
