Storytelling: The Art of Crafting Fiction is an introduction to creative writing that is appropriate for all levels; it's for anyone who wishes to pursue writing as a creative outlet. Although the focus is fiction writing this class will also be helpful to the creative non-fiction writer, as we will address topics pertinent to all forms of creative writing. Class hours will be spent sharing information, ideas and writing. Each month will feature a different guest instructor.
About February's Instructor: Jeff Donnelly a writer, educator, and co-founder of The Cardboard Sea theatre company in Asheville, NC. His original script State v. Medea was honored with the Award for Excellence in Playwriting at the North Carolina Theatre Conference and has been included as a text for the course What's Old Becomes New: Threading Theatrical Themes into Societal Truths at the University of New Hampshire. Other works include Still Into You, The Amendments, Magick With a K, Has Anyone Seen Ms. Ray?, This is the Third Floor, as well as the musical adaptations Snow White and the Seven Buskers and The Wizard of Oz. When he's not writing, Jeff teaches English and history and is the Director of Character Education at Canterbury School of Florida in St. Petersburg, FL.
