Two Ravens: Lui Collins & Max Cohen
Singer/songwriter Lui Collins has been performing, writing and recording for over 40 years, earning international acclaim for her music. Her repertoire, accompanied on tenor ukulele and banjo, ranges from original and traditional folk songs and American standards to bossa nova in the original Brazilian Portuguese. She has been called a folksinger for our times by the Boston Herald.
Max Cohens natural humility hides an amazing talent. An accomplished guitarist, Max balances tremendous sensitivity with driving rhythmic power. He is "one of those rare guitarists able to create an atmosphere that supports and cradles the voice with tenderness and strength according to Priscilla Herdman.
Together, Lui and Max merge their voices in elegant harmony on original songs, traditional melodies, and music based on the poetry of fantasy author Jane Yolen.
