ARTS Wake Forest - Arti Gras
Come celebrate Mardi Gras with ARTS Wake Forest at Arti Gras in Wake Forest!
Arti Gras--an evening of Cajun food, dancing to zydeco, jazz, and swing music, an art-themed silent auction, cash bar, 50/50 raffle and crowning of a King cupcake winner, is guaranteed to be a good time for all those who attend. Festive dress and masks are encouraged!
AWF is hosting Arti Gras as a fundraiser to benefit cultural events and artistic endeavors in the greater Wake Forest community.
The non-profit with a mission to support and enhance a strong, vibrant community through arts and cultural activities was established in 1990 by a group of dedicated volunteers.
The 29-year-old organization hosted its first Mardi Gras party as a fundraiser in the early 1990s.
Today, AWF is best known for its Six Sundays in Spring free outdoor concert series as well as the Wake Forest Dance Festival now in its third year. It also brings concerts, art exhibits, and other events to the Wake Forest community.
