"ALL GIRLS" by Anna Greenfield

"Listen, it's going to be like a drama and you have to be prepared to like, be a star."

"all girls" by Anna Greenfield finds three thirteen year old girls as they prepare for their first day of high school. Throw in one of their unnerving mothers and fork in the road seems daunting. Just when you assume you know how girls really act, "all girls" pulls the veil back on the age old conflict of understanding womanhood.

Rounding out the cast and crew are current students and alumni from TheatreVCU. The pretty and popular Morgan is played by Annabelle Bradstreet; the angsty Jenny by Morgan Meadows; the gawky boy child Claude by Lauren Davis; and the commanding Mrs. Gray by Jessica Johns. "all girls" is directed by Lucian Restivo who is assisted by Martha Johnson.

Straight off the New York stage, "all girls" receives it's regional premiere with Stage B Theatre Company at Firehouse Theatre. After a start-up Kickstarter campaign, "all girls" had a run at The Kraine Theater through Horse Trade Theater Group in New York City which received raves from reviewers. Stage B Theatre Company and Firehouse Theatre are honored to present the first production of the piece past it's New York run.

Anna Greenfield is a working actor and writer living in Brooklyn. As an actor: The Play About My Dad by Boo Killebrew (Collaboration Town, 59East59th, directed by Lee Sunday Evans), New York Living by Thomas Bradshaw (The Great Recession, Flea Theater, directed by Ethan McSweeney), and I Have Loved Strangers by Anne Washburn (NYU, directed by Paul Lazar). As a writer: Good Play (NYU Shop Theater), Norma and Claude Get Married (work shopped at the Lee Strasberg Institute). She graduated from the Experimental Theater Wing at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in 2008. She is a current member of the 2012-2013 Soho Rep writer/director lab and had a reading of her new play, This is Gonna be Great directed by Mary Birnbaum at Soho Rep in April.
