Trini Lopez Live in Palm Springs
Legendary folk rock singer and guitarist Trini Lopez will appear in a rare live concert, singing his hits with Palm Spring's own Gand Band, to be filmed for the upcoming documentary on his fascinating life. His first hit album, "Trini Lopez at PJs" captured the magic and energy of his live performances. We're going to recreate that magic on this special night during Modernism Week when Trini plays live for you in Palm Springs.
Here's the kicker: a portion of the ticket price will go to fund the documentary, and you'll be helping to create a film that documents the journey of the son of immigrant parents who created the folk/rock genre and become an international superstar. So, have yourself a swinging time, sing along with your favorite songs, and help get the film launched. Be there!
Vintage LA's own Alison Martino will interview Trini about his career, one on one, before the show takes off into orbit. Stick around and meet Trini after the show and get a selfie or an autograph.
Trini Lopez partied with all the celebrities of the era, and was considered an honorary member of Frank Sinatra's Rat Pack. You heard him on vinyl, saw him dozens of times on TV and in the movies from Marriage on the Rocks to The Dirty Dozen. His Latin-infused recording of "If I Had a Hammer" was number one in 36 countries.
Put on your best mod fashions and dancing shoes, get your hair done and be ready to PARTY like it's 1963! Because everyone in attendance could end up part of the live on screen audience, as we film the show in full spectrum Trini-vision.
Oscar's scenic outdoor patio will be open for dinner before the show, and the cash bar will be in full swing during the show in the cabaret theater.
Presented by Vintage Los Angeles, The Ebersole Hughes Company, and the Gand Band
