Bouffon Glass Menajoree
A Ten Directions collaboration presented by YoungLiars
BOUFFON GLASS MENAJOREE A Parody of a Beloved American Classic
Gentlemen callers beware: The Wingfields plume their nest with broken glass, twisted morals, and perverted minds. Each night a new audience member will get to play the role of Jim, the gentlemen caller. Tom, Amanda and Laura claim no responsibility for hurt feelings or offended sentiments. These deformed anti-clowns subversively take the piss out of everyone and everything. Why would anyone do this to an American Masterpiece!?! *This production is NOT suitable for children.
Performed by Lynn Berg, Audrey Crabtree and Aimee German. Written by Lynn Berg, Audrey Crabtree, Eric Davis, and Aimee German.
Directed by Eric Davis.

Ten Directions was created in 1997 and after 18 years in NYC this is their first year in St Louis and are graciously being introduced by YoungLiars. Ten Directions is a theater and film creative team formed by artistic directors Lynn Berg and Audrey Crabtree. Ten Directions tells stories that pose questions to our audiences, collaborating artists and ourselves. Engaging and entertaining our audiences, we choose the style, medium and artists to best tell these stories. Ten Directions created over 15 original productions including the bouffon works Detritus, Dirty Old Medicine Show, and the acclaimed Bouffon Glass Menajoree. They've also created mask, commedia, rock opera, performance art and roller skating shows. Ten Directions work focuses on audience engagement, physical expression and stories that stir the pot. As life-long students, they have advanced training in clown, bouffon and physical comedy with David Shiner, Chris Bayes, Sue Morrison, Giovanni Fusetti and John Towsen and improvisation with Armando Diaz and the Magnet. Lynn and Audrey worked together with performance artist Liz Magic Laser in the commissioned Performa piece I Feel Your Pain.
