"Too Much Noise" & "Fidel"
"Too Much Noise" & "Fidel" Sat. Sept 14, 2 pm
"Too Much Noise" by Wise Fool New Mexico A folk tale comes to life! This tale of a farmer, his animals, and a very wise man will leave audience members laughing, creaking, and mooing! Featuring life-size animal puppets brought to life by young audience members. Too Much Noise is geared for young children (pre-K through 3rd grade) and their families.
"Fidel" by Christina Masoliver Cristina is a puppeteer of few puppets, a marionette performer; her characters are few and played year after year. Her latest creation was slowly built and developed in Baja California, Mexico where three years ago she started Teatro Vagabundo; a mobile puppet theater that performs for audiences living in the remote and isolated areas of Baja's wild peninsula. Fidel is her smallest puppet yet, ever so light and naked. In this show, puppet and puppeteer take children and adults alike through a fun and exciting imaginary adventure...
Fidel is full of life, endearing & mischievous, his persona emanates the essence, beauty and nature of the native 'Californios' in the Baja Peninsula of Mexico where Cristina has found her second home.
Cristina started the Puppet Theatre los Titiriteros in Taos in 1993; this year celebrating twenty years of puppetry in northern New Mexico she now shares her time between both places, New Mexico and Baja California.
