Hollywood Heritage and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Present: Stormy Weather - A Tribute to Lena Horne
On February 13, 2019, at 7:30PM, Hollywood Heritage and The Hollywood Foreign Press Association will present - "Stormy Weather, A Tribute to Lena Horne".
In celebration of Black History Month, author James Gavin, who penned the book "Stormy Weather: The Life Of Lena Horne" will explore the life and career of this legendary superstar.
Lena Horne is known as one of the most popular African American entertainers of the twentieth century. A woman of great beauty and commanding stage presence, she performed in nightclubs, concert halls, movies, and on radio and television.
The evening will include rare film and television clips of Ms. Horne and the author will be signing copies of his book after the program.
We will also be selling tickets to our famous $1 raffle which will feature a fabulous assortment of prizes. Plus caterer Debbie Kimball will be selling a delicious selection of food items before the show... so come hungry!
