For ten years, Gemini and Scorpio have produced some of the most exciting events for New York City's creative set, from wild circus throwdowns to dazzling vintage dance socials to one-of-a-kind Russian baths bashes. The events are often marked by offbeat themes, fantastic costumes, mind-blowing music, burlesque and circus performances, lavish art and decor, and wild dancing into the morning. G&S is particularly unique in bridging the underground and high-culture spheres, and for our 10th Anniversary celebration, we are proud to present the ultimate mash-up of these two worlds, with a steampunk flavor and hand-picked performers traveling to NYC just for this event.

Featuring, over three days:
Amanda Palmer and The Grand Theft Orchestra
Edwardian pagan lounge ensemble Rosin Coven (Edwardian Ball co-creators)
Members of avant-cabaret circus troupe Vau de Vire Society (Edwardian Ball co-creators)
Brooklyn brass ensemble Hungry March Band
New Orleans "Russian mafia" band Debauche
New York gypsy punk accordion vagabonds Amour Obscur
And much more

FRIDAY
We take over the plaza and bandshell of Lincoln Center. Fierce punk cabaret rock star Amanda Palmer throws down a killer set with her band The Grand Theft Orchestra and other special guests. Edwardian pagan lounge ensemble Rosin Coven open the stage show. Members of avant-cabaret troupe Vau de Vire Society perform stunning circus acts on the plaza. Our most frequent brass band guest of the past decade, Hungry March Band, brings the brass mayhem.

SATURDAY
Our annual steampunk celebration, The Lost Circus -- featuring for the first time on a shared New York City stage the co-producers and headliners of San Francisco's legendary Edwardian Ball: Rosin Coven and Vau de Vire Society. We have discussed for years the possibility of The Edwardian Ball in NYC, and this night will finally bridge the East and West coast in steampunk costumed revelry, even as an official Ball is yet to happen. Plus infectious gypsy punk from accordion vagabonds Amour Obscur and special guests from New Orleans, "Russian mafia" band Debauche. The luscious Desert Sin mesmerizes you with their neo-tribal, exotic fusion of dance and theater. The Armored Combat League holds an exhibition of medieval armored combat. DJ Joro Boro brings the dance party, bridging the sounds of a rogue Slavic circus with the dust of Burning Man.

The circus unfolds to live bands and in between, in a 19th century church with soaring ceilings, stained glass windows and wraparound balcony. Stilts, aerial, acrobats, fire and more. Plus: tarot readings, photo magic booth by Tsirkus Fotografika, and dark and delightful visuals. A carnivalesque art exhibition curated by Anagnorisis Art Project exploring our ineffable attraction to the strange. The Museum of Interesting Things displays penny arcade and windup circus items to inspire curiosity. Ferocious beasts by Kate Brehm. Specialty potions by The House of St Eve (T.H.O.S.E. drinks), including absinthe and other delights.

Free champagne to all to celebrate our 10th Anniversary, 9-10pm!

Lost Circus dress code:
Dark cabaret, traveling circus, steampunk Victorian, neo-tribal, funky formal, desert wanderer, Edward Gorey, Tim Burton, Mad Max, City of Lost Children. Effort required. Stilts & characters welcome. (For the other events, theme dress encouraged but not required.)

SUNDAY
We roam the river on a three-level Mississippi-style paddleboat. Raucous daytime dance party music by Hungry March Band and DJs Joro Boro, $mall ¢hange and Shakey. Tarot by Coco Witch.

Press reviews:
"Take a Tim Burton film. Now make it darker (if possible) and sexier (yes, please)...in a stroke of maniacal genius, [G&S] are bringing steampunk fantasy to life" - The Village Voice. "A late-night extravaganza...where the big top and cabaret collide" - The New York Post. "Grown-ups can mingle with fire-breathers and live out their big top fantasies " - TimeOut NY.
