John Cooper Clarke
John Cooper Clarke is currently enjoying a major resurgence. The man who practically invented the phrases "performance poet" and "punk poet" in the 70/0s has swcured a unique place in pop culture, being studied on school syllabuses, cited by contemporary artists such as Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys) as a major influence, and is more present than ever, appearing recently in the award winning biopic "Control" and on BBCs "Have I Got News For You". He returns to Nantwich for the start of the towns Words And Music season, appearing at the 16th century Crown Ballroom. His 2011 performance here was rammed to the rafters, so book early to avoid disappointment.
