Talking Transgender: A Global Rally Cry
Talking Transgender: An International Rally Cry
A fundraiser for This Way Out: International LGBT Radio Magazine, a 501-c3 non profit organization
A Panel discussion featuring Trans activists making change. Moderated by Alexis Sanchez, Chair of the City of West Hollywood Transgender Advisory Board.
The Transgender community is experiencing the most volatile year since the birth of the Gay liberation movement of the 1960s and 70s. Attacks come from the American Federal government, the media and in the streets. What are the tools to battle the onslaught of hatred and moves to eliminate Transgender people?
Join the conversation with an international panel of transgender activists brought together by This Way Out, the international LGBT radio magazine has been covering the global news affecting the Trans community since 1988 and is still the only LGBTQ news service for public radio focusing on the issues that affect the worldwide community. This Way Out will prompt discussion with news reports relevant to the trans community from the past year of their international coverage.
Streamed via facebook live to an international audience and recorded for future This Way Out broadcast.
