WTS February Professional Development Seminar
Join the WTS Puget Sound chapter and expert speaking-coach Jean Hamilton on Friday, February 1st to learn tips and tools to help take your presentation skills to the next level. Whether you are giving a formal presentation, introducing yourself at a networking event, or communicating during a one-on-one meeting, these tools will help build your confidence and credibility. In this interactive workshop setting you will: Learn how to increase your confidence and own your message. Ensure your message is clear, concise, and relevant to the needs of your audience. Discover the elements of good storytelling and how to deliver a story with impact. Review the dos and donts of effective nonverbal communication. About the speaker: Jean Hamilton founded Speaking Results in 1998 to enable people to communicate with confidence, clarity and connection. She has worked with CEOs, CFOs, attorneys, physicians, architects, engineers, and professors. A partial client list includes: Amazon, Benaroya Research Institute, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Boeing, Casey Family Programs, Make-A-Wish, Microsoft, Tableau, and University of Washington. Jeans work integrates her diverse background in speech, theater, improvisation, and storytelling. Through seminars and one-on-one coaching, she enables her clients to enhance their skills and become a credible, engaging and authentic speaker.
When: Friday, Feb. 1, 2019; Breakfast and networking from 8:00-8:30 am; workshop from 8:30 am until 12:30 pm
Prep: Please come to the workshop with 1-3-minutes of material from a recent or upcoming speaking experience. Material can be an introduction of an upcoming or past presentation, a speech for an upcoming or past gala, or even an example of how you introduce yourself at a networking meeting.
