FROM AMSTERDAM TO SANTIAGO DE CUBA: A MUSICAL JOURNEY
A unique concert highlighting the music of internationally recognized Cuban composer Keyla Orozco, in celebration of Women's History Month. Orozco's works, imbued with a deep sense of empathy, embrace the complexity of being an immigrant, transcending geographic, political, and artistic boundaries, and exploring cultural crosscurrents to express our common humanity. Featuring complementary works by Ernesto Lecuona and Manuel Ponce, the program will be performed by the award-winning pianist Adonis González and the critically acclaimed Toomai String Quintet. The concert will be capped by a musical journey inspired by some of the world's most riveting cities, including Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, New York, Washington, Santiago de Cuba, Caracas, and Havana.
