Maddy Hunt + Scott Cunningham

Maddy Hunt hails from the Central Coast of California, where her sense of music was informed by sunshine, strawberry fields, and rolling hills. A lover of many musical styles, Maddy has synthesized folk and gospel in her writing, hoping that her experiences will remind listeners of happy times. She currently resides in Madison, Wisconsin, where she is writing her next album and dreaming about world travel.

Scott Cunningham has toured all over the United States as one-half of the brother band The Olive Tree. A prolific and substantial songwriter, Scott draws out the depth of the human experience in his lyrics. Influenced by his Memphis upbringing, Scotts music carries the soul of twangy guitars, dusty-gravel-road grit, and honest, heart-open poetry. Scott resides in Madison, Wisconsin, where he preaches for a living and raises two boys with his beautiful wife, Marissa.

Brother-and-sister-in-law duo Maddy Hunt and Scott Cunningham are thrilled to make their debut in Madison. Both experienced folk musicians in their own right, Hunt and Cunningham will be sharing original songs and stories, ending the night with a collaboration of folk harmonies that will be sure to make you sway (and maybe make you want to pick up a banjo).
