CARLSON AND CARLSON
In 1949, Rita Jones and Thelma Lou Green opened a beauty parlor on 125th in Harlem. The problem was Burt's barbershop was right next door and Burt Carlson didn't take kindly to a bunch of women crowding his store front. So, the logical thing to do was get rid of that beauty parlor! Five years later Rita and Burt are married and the shops are still next door to one another. Rita's pregnant and Burt has this notion it's the perfect opportunity to finally rid himself once and for all from all those women who keep trying to keep the men from running the barbershop the way they want. The plan sounds great right? WRONG.....The women in the beauty parlor have their own ideas and that my friends.....is where the fun begins. In two acts 90 minutes of fun.
