Craig Pomranz sings: New Year New Songs!
Jazz/Saloon singing at its best, in the tradition of Sinatra, Bennett, Chet Baker, and more. Sifting through thousands of his favorite songs, Craig narrows down this collection to a selection ranging from the familiar standard with a new jazz beat, to the seldom-heard Great American Songbook, to interpreting and covering pop material. Craig is known for headlining internationally in the most celebrated nightspots. Infamous nightclub impresario Regine recognized his talent and asked him to create a music room at her Park Avenue boite "Cafe Reginette. From there Craig worked to sold-out audiences at three clubs at once "Freddy's", "East Five Three" (with guests like Ann Hampton Callaway, and numerous others), and "Mickey's" (with Cissy and Whitney Houston and Karen Akers). It has been his great pleasure to have worked with and known jazz legend Teddi King. He has worked with Murray Grand, Betty Buckley, Nancy LaMott, and recorded with Barbara Cook, Kaye Ballard, and Faith Prince.
Craig is an internationally known singer/song-stylist, actor and author! Craig is the recipient of New Yorks MAC Award for Best Male Vocalist. "Made By Raffi" his first children's book is published in 8 languages and 11 countries to date. Inspired by "Made by Raffi", composers Amanda McBroom (Bette Midlers award-winning The Rose) & Michele Brourman (The Land Before Time) wrote the song "Different." You can hear it on Craigs YouTube Channel. He attended Carnegie-Mellon University & The Goodman Theatre - The Art Institute of Chicago. Craig lives in New York City & travels the world performing in nightclubs & theatres. His CDs "More Than A Seasonal Thing" & "My Heart Don't Skip A Beat" can be heard on radio stations around the world and available on iTunes, CDBaby and his website www.CraigPomranz.com.
