Here's the lineup for Friday, March 8:

MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents:
CARMEN SHUPE in "THE MAD, THE SAD, AND THE VERY, VERY BAD!!"

People talk to Carmen. All types tell their tales on the bus, in cashier lines, and more. Funny, tragic and often sanity-optional, join Carmen as she animates these moments in a hilarious, sometimes poignant musical show.

ABOUT CARMEN SHUPE

Carmen's always been a singer; but one glorious day in college she fled the Music Department into the arms of a hot romance with Theater! Passion flamed, sputtered, and occasionally reanimated as life led to another career. As a psychotherapist for 30 years, Carmen's absorbed the dance and drama of human experience, letting it season her characterizations and spice up her performances. Fluent in diverse genres, she's performed in almost every U.S. state, as well as Central America and China. Favorite roles include Bev in "Angry Housewives", Mother in "Amahl and the Night Visitors", and Golde and Frumasarah in "Fiddler on the Roof". She currently sings with Seattle's Joyful Noise Choir.

MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents:
JOHN ENGERMAN & PHIL SHALLAT in "DOMINANT GENES"

From the creators of last year's "You Are The Wind Inside My Bag" come more compelling, offbeat, original musical theatre tunes, in collaboration and solo, with an excursion into the personal. With Lance Lu on drums.

ABOUT JOHN ENGERMAN & PHIL SHALLAT

From "Ronnie Bwana - Jungle Guide" in the '70s through The Fabulous Sateens in the '80s to their new show "Italy On the Rocks", Phil and John have collaborated on dozens of songs for musical theatre and cabaret productions. Phil also performed as front man/vocalist with The New Deal Rhythm Band, and John has played for many, many March Is Cabaret Month acts, including Arnaldo! Dragchanteuse, The Sirens of Swing, Miz Lawanda Dupree & Angie Louise, Joanne Klein, Carolyn Magoon, and his own adult Mother Goose show, "Gaggle".

MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents:
CHRISTINA NAFICY in "50 AND SINGLE"

A funny and poignant story of relationships, dating, and how Christina found herself 50 and single.

ABOUT CHRISTINA NAFICY

Originally from Seattle, Christina's had a long career in theatre here at The 5th Avenue Theatre, Village Theatre, Civic Light Opera and many more. She spent thirteen years in NYC where she was honored to study cabaret/vocal performance under the tutelage of MAC award-winner KT Sullivan and Tony Award winner Betty Buckley. Christina had the pleasure of performing her act for the final show of the iconic Danny's Starlight Room. She also brought her one-room shows to Don't Tell Mama's Cabaret Theatre. She is looking forward to getting back to her roots here in Seattle.

MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents:
THE FEMME FATALES in "A TOUCH OF THE FEMME"

Let The Femme Fatales lead you on a journey of multifaceted feminine power. With songs ranging from silly to sensual, you will find yourself laughing, blushing, singing along, and unable to forget. Every evening could use a Touch of the Femme.

ABOUT THE FEMME FATALES

Sultry, sassy, and deliciously vintage, The Femme Fatales began when Annastasia Workman brought together three distinct and unique multi-instrumentalist forces of nature to play her music for a production of The Maltese Falcon. Consisting of Sari Breznau, Kate Olson, and Olivia D. Hamilton, The Femme Fatales soon took on a life of their own, reveling in their delicious blend of instrumentation, vocal harmonies, and storytelling. They have enjoyed playing a wide variety of gigs and are looking forward to making Seattle a little more Fatale one song at a time. Every gathering could use a touch of the Femme...

Doors for the double feature open at 6:30 pm.

See you at Egan's!

*Egan's requests a $10 minimum purchase (food or drink) per patron per show.
