MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents: FAYE B SUMMERS in "SPARROW'S DIARY: EDITH PIAF TELLS IT ALL"
A cabaret based on the life of Edith Piaf, written by Faye B Summers with musical arrangements and new English translations by John Engerman.
ABOUT FAYE B SUMMERS
Faye B Summers has performed in Seattle and nationally for many decades. She has appeared in most of Seattle's theatre venues and has been singing and portraying Edith Piaf for over thirty years. Also an experienced writer/editor, her one-woman show Kicking the Hat was premiered by Seattle's ArtsWest Playhouse. Her collaboration with John Engerman began in 1980, and his new English translations of Piaf favorites take the relationship to a new and exciting level.
MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents: MAUREEN MERSHON in "REBEL GIRL"
Scandalous? Scintillating? Droll? Driven by songs written and/or performed by rebels, "Rebel Girl" is a touching and funny show performed by Maureen Mershon and musically directed by DJ Wilson.
ABOUT MAUREEN MERSHON
Maureen "Mo" Mershon is a Seattle performer, working director, and acting teacher. Mo has worked onstage since age eight. In addition to stage work, Mo has written two plays, several cabaret shows, and a documentary on her acting mentor which she also produced and directed. Mo has performed from NYC to LA in musicals, plays, and cabarets. Mo has also taught cabaret and musical performance at UCLA, NSCC, and various LA and Seattle schools.
MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents: GABRIELLE NICOLE in "DARK SIDE OF THE CABARET"
Come for a musical exploration of the subconscious and our darker sides through the works of Led Zeppelin, Cream, and other classic rock gurus... and of course a few Broadway favorites, too! Delightfully comic Gabrielle Nicole is joined by Jeff Caldwell on keys and additional vocals from Michaela Morris and Lauren Ambielli.
Gabrielle Nicole has been singing for as long as she can remember. She currently lives and performs in Seattle and feels grateful to have found the cabaret community here. She has performed in many genres including musical theatre, classical, rock/pop, and a cappella, and is so grateful for her friends and family who have supported her over all these years. She is currently a soprano in Joyful!Noise choir, and performs cabaret any chance she can get. You can follow what she's up to on Instagram @theGabbaret (that's with two bs!).
MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents: BODACIOUS LADYHOOD in "WE'VE ONLY JUST BEGUN"
Join the Ladyhood as they share their origin story and weave tales of song selection over the past sixteen years. Honest, funny, and all a cappella, with songs from every imaginable genre. Guaranteed fun!
