Chuckanut Radio Hour with Special Guest Chelsea Cain, Let Me Go
Join us for a special episode of the Chuckanut Radio Hour, hosted at the Sudden Valley Dance Barn, and benefiting the Sudden Valley Public Library building fund. Our special guest for our August show is Bellingham's favorite home-grown author, Chelsea Cain, for her new mystery novel, Let Me Go, from her Detective Archie Sheridan series. Back with her most thrilling novel yet, Cain delivers the pinnacle of what fans of this series have come to expect: sex, murder, twists, dark wit, and some of the best characters in the genre.

Chelsea Cain is the author of The New York Times bestselling Archie Sheridan thriller series, including Heartsick, Sweetheart, Evil at Heart, The Night Season, and Kill You Twice.  The series has been published in more than 30 languages, recommended on The Today Show, appeared in episodes of HBO's True Blood and ABC's Castle. Stephen King included two of her books in his top ten favorite books of the year, and NPR named Heartsick one of the best 100 thrillers ever written. She was raised in Bellingham, Washington, and now lives in Portland, Oregon. Visit her at chelseacain.com.

The Chuckanut Radio Hour, a recipient of Bellingham's prestigious Mayor's Arts Award, is a radio variety show that began in January 2007. Each Chuckanut Radio Hour features a guest author and includes guest musicians, performance poet Kevin Murphy, Cascadia Weekly columnist Alan Rhodes, an episode of "The Bellingham Bean" serial radio comedy, and some groaner jokes by hosts Chuck & Dee Robinson and announcer Rich Donnelly. The Chuckanut Radio Hour's first guest was Erik Larson and has since included Alexander McCall Smith, Elizabeth George, Cheryl Strayed, Sherman Alexie, Tom Robbins and Garrison Keillor, among many others. The Radio Hour airs every Saturday evening at 6pm and Sunday at 9pm on SPARK RADIO, KMRE 102.3FM. Tickets for the Chuckanut Radio Hour are $5 and are available at Village Books and at BrownPaperTickets. Doors open at 6:30pm, and you must be seated by 6:45pm as the show begins promptly at 7pm. Co-sponsored by Whatcom Community College Foundation, 12th Street Shoes, Fairhaven Pizza, and the Fairhaven Village Inn. Proceeds from ticket sales for this event will benefit the Sudden Valley Public Library building fund.
