The Billie Holiday Project featuring Stella Heath
OCA is pleased to welcome a newly created ensemble to our stage, led by talented songstress Stella Heath, who also fronts the popular French Oak Gypsy Band. Stella skillfully evokes the legendary singer Billie Holiday in an exciting new musical project based on B.H.s life and music, backed by a stellar band of local musicians. They include Neil Angelo Fontana on piano, Jason Bellenkes, tenor saxophone and clarinet, Trevor Kinsel on upright bass and cornet with drummer Pete Lind rounding out the ensemble. Read more about the performers at www.stellaheathmusic.com.
Please join us for this cabaret-style evening of classic Billie Holiday tunes delivered with style, nuance and emotion by the beautiful Stella and her fine band as OCA celebrates Black History Month! $20 advance/$25 at the door.
Fine refreshments available include wine and beer. Wheelchair accessible. OCA Art Gallery features a Black History Month art exhibit augmented by the stunning private collection of Raynetta James.
