Art Talks: Presence and Absence
Kristin Tollefson shares images and stories from her recent month-long artist residency in Chile: from living in the Atacama Desert to exploring Santiago and Valparaiso. She'll share anecdotes about the residency, her artistic process and how it informs her thoughts about community engagement and art moving forward.
Kristin Tollefson is an artist and educator engaged in observing and articulating relationships between humans and environment. She is currently working as Design Team Artist for the Port of Seattle's Terminal 117 Habitat Restoration project, and has completed numerous other public art projects throughout the region. A 2008 recipient of the Island Treasure Award, Kristin works as Education Director of the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art.
