Danny Barnes and Kate Power & Steve Einhorn
As a Texas native and one of bluegrass musics most distinctive and innovative performers, Barnes is known for blending together different sounds in order to defy labeling. His desire to pick up the banjo stemmed from a Grandpa Jones and Stringbean concert he attended as a child. Moved by the performance, Barnes was first inspired to learn how to play the banjo at age ten. He continued his musical endeavors at the University of Texas, where he focused his studies on audio production and discovered his passion for recording music. https://dannybarnes.com/
Kate Power and Steve Einhorn "...bring us to that place that can only be reached at the hands of journeyman artists. The power and precision of their performance gives [me] the complete trust to lean into the music, to get lost in it." -- NW Examiner Portland favorites Kate Power and Steve Einhorn have been featured as special guests on Garrison Keillor's A Prairie Home Companion. Power's song "Travis John" won the Grand Prize from Music2Life at the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas for 'songs that make a difference' and together, Kate Power & Steve Einhorn have shared stages with many folk luminaries, including the iconic Pete Seeger and Tom Paxton. "Your music is wonderful! I love your harmonies. Keep on!" -- Pete Seeger
