Theme parks are filled with screams. Anticipation builds as a roller coaster click-clacks up its lift hill, and riders express the catharsis of racing headlong down the other side with blood-curdling squeals of delight and peals of nervous laughter. It's the sound of exhilaration.

Through the eyes of a former creative director at Walt Disney Imagineering and Universal Studios Parks, Michael Devine will provide you with a look behind the curtain at the process of designing a major theme park, from initial concept to opening day, Discover who makes the Magic, what the Magic costs, how the contents of a park are determined, what the differences are between theme parks and amusement parks, and much more.
Michael Devine acted as Consulting Creative Director on numerous highly successful projects for Walt Disney Imagineering, among them Tokyo Disney Seas, and Disney Studios Europe. Mr. Devine most recently served as Creative Director for Universal Studios new 60+acre theme park in Dubai and is a former Professor of Themed Entertainment and Production Design at Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah GA.
