Renewing Our Vows: Something New - Bolcom, Szymanowski, Webern
Don't miss the second concert in our 4-concert classical chamber music series: Renewing Our Vows: Something New.
Featuring Martin Kennedy, piano and Denise Dillenbeck, Violin
Just last month, Denise's and players from the Yakima Symphony turned in an inspiring interpretation of Bach, Beethoven, and especially the Brahms G Major Sextet. It was one of the most important concerts ever performed at The Seasons.
Now she turns her attention to performing works of the 20th Century canon. If you often find it difficult to "get" more modern works, let Denise guide you through it. She plays with passion and her understanding of the music and her ability to communicate it to the audience is what makes her a favorite as the Yakima Symphony Orchestra Concertmistress. Martin Kennedy is one of America's fine young composers and a brilliant pianist. He has a personal story with the Corigliano Sonata and a connection with the composer. He teaches composition at Central Washington University.
Prior to the concert, there will be a meet and greet in the gallery with snacks, beverages, and conversation with the musicians starting at 6:15 PM. Find out the whole story...
