Here we have a most inventive premise: Police Inspector Amadeus Warnebring, a tone-deaf member of a prominent musical family, must track down a group of anarchist percussionists whose guerrilla public performances are causing consternation throughout the city. As these crazy musicians build the stakes of their hijinks until they attempt to perform Music for One City and Six Drummers, Amadeuss angst builds as does the music. The NYT has labeled SOUND OF NOISE a comedy, crime mystery, music video, romance and thriller. But they forgot a best label: Fun!
