Secrets of the Cellar with the Winemaker, Exploration of Cabernet Sauvignon
Join us for our next Secrets of the Cellar as we explore the depth of Americas favorite red wine, Cabernet Sauvignon, with our winemaker Lisa Lee. We'll pop the cork of a 2007 with grapes from Walker Ranch and continue on with a 2008 and 2010 Cabernet with grapes from Casa de Viñas. We may uncover a secret gem as we dust off that very last bottle in existence.
Throughout the evening you'll gain an understanding of what to look for in a Cabernet Sauvignon. Well experiment with some small bites to explore how age impacts your food selection for the perfect pairing. Before the night is over, well take you on a journey that crosses a decade. From bottle or barrel, you're sure to experience a symphony of aromas and flavors developed from ripe fruit, rich tannins, complex oak and years of loving care.
This event is open to Charles R Club Members only. Wines tasted will be available for sale with special pricing on this evening only. Please wear modest shoes as you will be walking to and from the cellar on a gravel road. Warm clothing is recommended.
