New Belgium Sour Symposium at the Toronado
We're excited to have the dynamic duo of New Belgium Brewing Company's brewer Eric Salazar and chief blender and sensory analyst Lauren Salazar leading a 'Sour Symposium' in two distinct sessions at the bar on Friday, June 21st. New Belgium's La Folie is quite simply one of the best beers made in America; it will be a rare (and insightful) treat to hear from the woman who is in charge of blending all of the beers aging in the large oak barrels (foeders) at New Belgium that ultimately make up this outstanding beer. In addition to La Folie on draft we'll be trying draft versions of Oscar, which is the base beer for the La Folie,  from four different foeders. Fans of sour beer will gain an appreciation of the (blending) art that goes into these complex and fascinating beers. In addition, our own Nate Soroko will have a cheese & charcuterie pairing, so you get to eat as well. 2 distinct sessions- 3 to 5pm & 6 to 8pm, with the interior of the bar closed to the public during these times.* Tickets are $40 in advance, $50 the day of the symposia. Don't miss this "once-in-a-long while" opportunity!

*we will have the patio open, with a cash-only bar featuring 4 draft beers on the jockey boxes out back, with entrance solely through the alley, during the hours of 3pm to 8pm on the 21st.
