Suzy Bogguss

Suzy Bogguss will perform in concert at The Arts Place of Stokes, 502 Main Street, Danbury, NC on Sunday, May 19, 2019 beginning at 4pm. Doors open at 3:15pm.

One of the most acclaimed female country singers of the late 80s and 90s, Suzy Bogguss is one of country musics most pristine and evocative vocalists. With the release of her 1989 major label debut, Somewhere Between, Suzy quickly became one of the key artists that defined those golden days of 90s country. She scored a string of Top 10 singles with country radio staples like Outbound Plane, Drive South, Hey Cinderella, Letting Go and Aces, and her 1991 album of that name was certified platinum. Suzy has released albums ranging from modern swing music with Ray Benson of Asleep At The Wheel; to original jazz music to collection classics originally performed by Merle Haggard in her most recent album, Lucky.

This performance is part of the 2019 Come Hear NC Music Celebration sponsored by the NC Dept of Natural and Cultural Resources, NC Arts Council and Stokes County Arts Council.

Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 day of show.
Ages 18 and Under Advance tickets are only $10 per person.

Stokes County Arts Council Members can also purchase a discounted 2019 Come Hear NC Concert Series (5 concerts) for $100.
