ROLLER DERBY DOUBLE HEADER IN OKC!
The All Star Squad will be taking on the Kansas City Roller Warriors Plan B of Kansas City, MO. This is the first time they've gone head to head - witness the action! The Battle Squad will be taking on the 580 RollerGirls of Lawton, OK. In 2011 the Battle Squad defeated the 580 RollerGirls, can they do it again?
Bout day is Saturday, June 22, 2013, Centennial Building at the OK State Fairgrounds, 333 Gordon Cooper Street, Oklahoma City, OK. Doors open at 5 pm, action starts at 6!
A portion of the bout proceeds will benefit Heels for Hope. The foundation is based in Oklahoma and provides support to women diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Heels for Hope is the only organization in OKC solely dedicated to raising funds, awareness, and providing encouragement to women diagnosed with ovarian cancer and their families. Tickets are $10 in advance and are available at OKC and Norman Guestroom Records locations (guestroom-records.com), Skate Galaxy OKC (skategalaxyokc.com) or online here at brownpapertickets.com, and at Switchblade Skate Company. Tickets are $15 at the door. Kids under 12 get in FREE with a paid adult.
Beer can be purchased with a valid ID. Seating is available on a first come first serve basis and you are welcome to bring your own chair.
