Spend the morning getting to know Christensens Farm and how we transformed from a family garden to a market gardening business that serves 100 families and 2 farmers markets. Our workshop will include a tour of the gardens and farm equipment, a discussion on how the farm has developed over time, as well as visiting the livestock and finishing with a hayride through the property. We will wash up some of the veggies for you to take home and finish with delicious farm fresh snack and cold drink. Please wear farm appropriate clothing and shoes since you may get dirty. Farm boots and gloves may come in handy. Workshop fee includes some produce that you can take home with you.
Children (ages 5 and over) are welcome with a ticketed adult and their own ticket (for the child).
A free copy of Renewing the Countryside: WISCONSIN will be given away to every family, couple and/or household registered for a particular workshop (a $26.95 value); the free book giveaway is limited to one copy per residential address of attendees.
