You're approaching 50 or so and thinking: Whats next? Same old, same old? Or does your bucket list include: Move to the country, grow some veggies, milk a goat, maybe a 2nd career selling handcrafted thingamabobs?
LindaDee is doing just that on her 15 acre organic farmstead, Bluffwood Landing. After a successful business career owning a large Cafe with Bakery & Art Gallery in Madison, she segued to a B&B, followed by a Meat/Wool CSA on 150 acres. Now in her 70s, LindaDee builds fences, tends a biodiverse garden and breeds sheep. See all this, while she shares realistic expectations and encouragement for farmsteading in your later years.
For adults only.
A free copy of Renewing the Countryside: WISCONSIN will be given away to every family, couple and/or household registered for a particular workshop (a $26.95 value); the free book giveaway is limited to one copy per residential address of attendees.
About Bluffwood Landing:
Perched on a woodsy bluff, this 15 acre wool farm is home to endangered Jacob, Tunis and CVM/Romeldale sheep. Pelts, fleeces, roving, yarn & livestock are for sale. When not tending sheep, spinning wool, or teaching craft classes, you will find LindaDee singing in her riotious veggie, herb, fruit, and flower garden. Bio-diversity is key to this organically inspired farmstead where sheep mow lawn, pollinators flourish, hobbits lurk and miracles happen.
CANCELLATION POLICY: NO REFUNDS. SOIL SISTERS has a no refund policy. You can, however, transfer your ticket to another person, provided that person is in possession of the ticket at the time of the workshop.
