Muriel Anderson Workshop

Muriel will cover technique, arrangement, interpretation and inspiration. There will be time for individual questions from the audience also. She will intersperse performance with discussion. Every participant will have the opportunity to ask questions, to explore techniques for arranging, better playing and musicianship, inspirations behind compositions and her approach to music. Muriel will also have some new hands-on techniques, riffs, or tunes to teach. Handouts will be provided, open to guitarists of all levels. Fee includes GHS signature strings.

One of the world's foremost fingerstyle guitarists and harp-guitarists, Muriel Anderson is the first woman to have won the National Fingerstyle Guitar Championship. She has recorded over a dozen CD's and performs in the US, Europe, and the Far East.

Her facility across the genres of folk, classical, jazz, bluegrass and international music is revered by guitarists worldwide. Her unique approach to the instrument virtually transforms the guitar into a lyrical choir, then a marching band, then a Japanese koto, then a Bluegrass band, one minute launching into a Beatles' tune and the next, Rodrigo's Concerto de Aranjuez.
