. Nana Shineflug has developed a unique and effective way of teaching the body to move and dance that brings authenticity to both the physical self and to the body moving in a gravitational field. This process enables the dancer to quickly advance their technique through the use of the Energetic (Chi) Body, which has great power.
How to utilize/teach the Theories of the Conscious Body
Weekend workshops: July 13/14, 27/28. Saturdays & Sundays
10 am - 4 pm. $200 both weekends, $120 single weekend.
Open to teachers of all kinds: dance, theater, performance, yoga, as well as physical trainers and others wanting to be more conscious of the body's potential for their own indivdidual practices. Dance background not required.
Nana Shineflug is the founder and Artistic Director of the Chicago Moving Company. A master dancer, choreographer and teacher, Nana has worked to integrate modern dance with physical practices from around the globe. Nana's investigation of the energetic body is grounded in her knowledge and experience of the physical principles of movement. In these impactful courses participants engage their minds, bodies, and spirits in hte cultivation of a deep awareness of the relationship between energy and physicality.
