New Moon Prayer and Song Ceremony in Totnes
On the night of the first new moon of the new year, I offer an invitation to gather in prayer and song. To dream ourselves together with love for this life, to plant seeds of hope and ask for help to grow with love in our hearts. Through ritual we have an opportunity to enter the timeless, to share in the presence of the Great Spirit and express our gratitude to the Living Earth.
After two years of holding such ceremonies around the country, I have finally been beckoned to Totnes. It feels right to start the new year in this way in this familiar place, and I am looking forward to it very much
You are welcome to participate as much as you feel. There is no pressure to sing or pray aloud, you can simply relax with the experience of being a part of the circle. We will be sitting on the floor, so please bring sheepskins, blankets, backrest chairs, cushions; anything you feel you'd need to be comfortable. There will be a few sheepskins and cushions provided.
Please arrive on time, the ceremony has a form which needs us to all start and finish together.
