Join us for a fresh look at seminal works by Beethoven and Mozart. Coriolanus Overture was written at the peak of Beethoven's powers, and the Symphony No. 2 shows off the exuberance of his youth. And don't miss Mozart's delightful Violin Concerto No. 4 played by a rising young violin star!
Violinist Emma Steele has won awards in many competitions, including the Sibelius International Violin Competition, where she was a finalist and received the Young Talent Prize, and the Irving M. Klein International String Competition (Second Prize). Ms. Steele has soloed with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the Polish Radio Amadeus Chamber Orchestra.

Bartók, Romanian Dances Pamela Martin conducting Brahms, Concerto for Violin and Cello in A minor Craig Reiss, violin and Richard Andaya, cello Dvořák, Symphony No. 8 in G major
Against the quirky, exciting rhythms of Bartók's Romanian Dances, we place two monumental works. The Brahms Double Concerto showcases violin and cello against a vivid orchestral background. Dvořák's light-as-air Symphony No. 8 draws inspiration from his beloved Bohemian folk melodies.
Cellist Richard Andaya has appeared as soloist with the San Francisco Conservatory Orchestra, the Colorado Philharmonic, the National Repertory Orchestra, and the Sacramento Symphony. He's also been a Fellow at Tanglewood and a former Principal Cello with the Vallejo Symphony.
Violinist Craig Reiss is Associate Principal Second Violin with the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra. Mr. Reiss has been a featured soloist with the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, the Carmel Bach Festival, and the National Repertory Orchestra. He is a former Concertmaster with the Vallejo Symphony.
