Hometown Hootenanny: Salute to Summer
Summer has finally arrived in the Pacific Northwest, and we'll turn up the heat at the Hometown Hootenanny to celebrate the fleeting season with songs about fun in the sun. And as a preview for July 4th, we'll offer a few flag-waving tunes as well.
Special guests for the June 29 show include the high-energy bluegrass band Badger Pocket, featuring the mother/son duo of Tammy Christensen and Nick Dumas, along with other veteran bluegrassers. Badger Pocket is gaining rave reviews in all their appearances, and in their first appearance on the Hootenanny, they're sure to blow your socks off!
The powerful emotion and compelling lyricism of Americana roots/folk/country singer-songwriter Bradford Loomis will keep you rocking, clapping and maybe even sobbing. Don't miss his Hootenanny debut!
The Hometown Band has put together two sets of music that include warm weather favorites by Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, Rodney Atkins and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Wear your favorite tropical shirt and we'll provide the leis!
Tickets for the June 29 show are $16.50 for adults, $13 for seniors/students/military, and only $5 for kids 12 and under. Purchase tickets online at brownpapertickets.com or by calling the Everett Theatre at (425) 258-6766. The box office opens at 6:30 the day of the show.
The Hometown Hootenanny is a family-friendly event, presenting live music and a variety of entertainers in a classic venue in downtown Everett.
