Tevell Rose
Tevell Rose was born and raised on the side of Chicago where he still lives today. When he was six, like many children, he convinced his parents to get him a Marshall Brodien Magic kit for Christmas. On Christmas morning he opened it up, did one trick and forgot about the kit but not about magic. Nineteen years later on a trip to New Orleans he saw a magic demonstration that fully ignited his love for the art. Upon returning home he met Bob Brown who took him under his wing giving Tevell initial magic training where he learned the cornerstone of his career, "we learn skills from books, we learn our art from our audience".
Since 1992 Tevell Rose has been delighting audiences across the country and abroad alike. Organizations such as McDonalds, UPS, Toshiba, Starlight Children's Foundation, Kraft Foods, Chicago Bulls and many more have employed Tevell's wit and humor to make their events more magical. In 2006 Tevell received the Archbishop James P. Lyke African American Male Image Award for his magical work in his hometown of Chicago. The best summary of Tevell was spoken be Rev. David A. Jones "His artistic display of entertainment and skill has a power to open the mind to possibilities".
