James Robinson Kuumbwa Jazz Album Release Concert
Latin World Jazz guitarist James Robinson brings his new album "New Beginnings" to the Kuumbwa concert stage on Friday February 8th 2019.
The James Robinson Group makes music listen like poetry. Each line of instrumentation skillfully crafted and arranged to tell of a virtuosic musical story. The magical range of musical styles and colors of New Beginning demonstrates Robinsons passion for grooves from all around the world. Robinson layers each concept with brilliant musical artistry blending his Latin World Jazz sound into true fusion, integrating multiple genres into poetry for the ears. The Portuguese & Brazilian flavored bilean Azul Sky, and the sorrowful Argentinian Scarlet Tango will also showcase cha chas and Middle Eastern dance grooves, with Irish and Flamenco inspired melodies will leave one reminiscing for the old world. Robinson nods to his influences in Man From New Jersey (Al Di Meola), and One Take For Larry (Larry Carlton). Both greatly influenced the development Robinsons sound.
