What Kind of Love?
It's back! This brand-new musical, written by PJ Thiessen and Alvin Smithson, made its concert version debut at Creative Cauldron in the summer of 2012, playing to an enthusiastic, sold-out crowd. Complete with rewrites, "What Kind of Love?"now returns as a workshop in its entirety.
Narrated by Patsy Jefferson and Sally Hemings in their twilight years, the story unfolds as these two historic women reflect on memories of their life with Thomas Jefferson, the love and humor of the Jefferson-Hemings family, and their struggle for freedom and acceptance both in Paris and Monticello during a time of enlightenment and tumult.
