Coed and Women's Flat Track Roller Derby @ Matteson Square Gardens
The highly anticipated debut of St. Louis' premier All-Star Co-Ed Roller Derby team, Fleur-de-Lethal, happens Saturday, June 8th at Matteson Square Garden's in St. Peters, MO.
Opening the evening, the St. Chux Derby Chix 2nd travel team, Hell's Belles, take on their neighboring Arch Rival Roller Girls 3rd travel team, Fleur-de-Linquents. These two teams met once before and Hell's Belles took the win - will there be a repeat?
The headliner combines not only two very different teams, but is a head-to-head mash-up of differing philosophies. Can a mash-up team of all-star players from all over the country triumph over those representing their local hometown talent? "Skate where you're from" is an anthem that has been thrown around by those who don't like the concept of satellite skaters coming in to form a "super" team.
Team Xtreme boasts a veritable Who's Who roster of super stars in the derby community that range from New York to the Pac-Northwest, and Iowa all the way down to Texas. In stark contrast, Fleur-de-Lethal represents ONLY St. Louis Metro skaters from three leagues, St. Chux Derby Chix, Arch Rival Roller Girls and St. Louis Gatekeepers. Will derby's biggest names prevail over local grit and talent?
