[ABSURDUS]corpus, an interdisciplinary performance by Nathan Blackwell, is an exploration of the gay male's relationship to the female body and Western religious institutions. Through ritual, film, sound and movement, the shifting realities of gender and religion are physicalized in this exquisite and visceral world. Be prepared to enter this world and interact during the journey. Co-presented by The Black Well and Control Group Productions.

Bio:
Nathan Blackwell is a visual and performing artist who began dancing as a lanky boy in the grass and his imagination. From that epic starting point he began formally training in that conglomeration of techniques called "release" technique. Receiving his BFA from the University of Colorado, Nathan has worked and trained with international artists such as Michelle Ellsworth, Onye Ozuzu, Chris Aiken, Darrell Jones and Gabriel Masson. As an artist his work has been shown at The Garage, SF, The Strings Music Festival and the Atlas Institute for Technology. Currently residing in Colorado, Nathan plans to get outta dodge fairly soon.
