We're kicking off REEL LIFE with Jiro Dreams of Sushi.
Catch the film, visit our snack bar for treats inspired by movie houses everywhere and interpreted by local chefs, and see what's next at the San Diego Public Market.
The Red Carpet ticket includes reserved seating and parking, and a reception before the show featuring Chef Robert Ruiz of Harney Sushi and adult beverages at the Snack Bar. Red Carpet Reception starts at 6:30 pm.
Popcorn Gallery tickets include 2 coupons for the Snack Bar along with the show. General Admission opens at 7:15 pm.

Jiro Dreams of Sushi is the story of 85-year-old Jiro Ono, considered by many to be the world's greatest sushi chef. This thoughtful and elegant meditation on work, family, and the art of perfection, chronicles Jiro's life as both an unparalleled success in the culinary world and as a loving yet complicated father. Before the show, enjoy live music and tours of the 92,000 square foot market property and support the creation of San Diego's own Public Market. Net proceeds of the event will benefit the development of the Market Kitchen education and micro business programs.
San Diego's full time, permanent market (think Pike Place, Redding Terminal Market or La Boqueria...but better) will launch the middle of this year, filling a high-ceilinged former boiler factory with farm fresh produce and eggs, fish and meats, dining adventures, cheese making, salumi curing, tortilla slinging, chocolate tempering, coffee roasting, bread baking and more.
