Grace Symposium
SYMPOSIUM: Saturday, January 12, 2019 4pm-6pm Streetcar Crowsnest (345 Carlaw Ave.) Free to attend
In conjunction with our production of Grace, Nightwood Theatre is proud to present a free symposium on Saturday, January 12th from 4pm-6pm, 2019 onstage at Streetcar Crowsnest.
The symposium will consist of two panels:
4pm-5pm: The Psychology of Memory
Moderator and Panelist Dr. Lori Haskell, academic research associate with the Centre for Research on Violence Against Women and Children, with Guest Speakers psychotherapist Brenda Ponic, founder of the GTA Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse Service Provider Network, and Dr. Amy Gajaria, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at CAMH.
5pm-6pm: - The Failure of Justice
With guest speakers The Hon. Justice Rebecca Shamai; defence lawyer Megan Savard of Addario Law Group; and Deepa Mattoo, Director of Legal Services at the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic Moderated by Christine McGoey, Retired Lawyer and Chair of the Death Investigation Oversight Council
