The Future of Neurosurgery
Neurosurgery dates back to prehistoric times, when ancient civilizations first began practicing trephination the act of drilling a hole into the skull for medical reasons. Centuries later, in the early 1900s, Harvey Cushing transformed the practice of neurosurgery with discoveries that dramatically increased brain surgery survival rates. Since then, we have continued to develop better technologies and neurosurgery techniques and now, with the new innovations and research currently in progress, the future of neurosurgery looks brighter than ever. Join us as Dr. Westra shares the latest advances in this challenging field of medicine. ___________________________________________________________
