Young Agrarians Farm Business Planning 101 + Community Potluck Social & Farmer Slideshows
Saturday, February 2nd, 2019 1-5 pm Farm Business Planning 101 (Registration required) 5-8 pm Community Potluck Social & Farmer Slideshows (RSVP here, free)
BUSINESS 101 WORKSHOP: Join Young Agrarians for a Farm Business Planning 101 Workshop led by Paul Kelly, Self-Employment Program Manager at Community Futures, and Local Food Procurement Consultant with Columbia Basin Trust. This four hour workshop will be jam packed with information and provide farmers with an overview regarding key factors in their business plan and business development. For a comprehensive list of topics that will be covered please check out: youngagrarians.org/business101winlaw/
COMMUNITY POTLUCK SOCIAL: The potluck is open to the entire community. From seasoned farmers to the farm curious, from infants to centenarians- you are invited to join us to share food and celebrate our local farming community!
Please bring a dish to share. Not sure what to bring to the potluck? Consider supporting your local, organic farmer and/or food producer and find inspiration with their ingredients. Also, it is greatly appreciated if you can include a little card with the ingredients list for your dish in case people have food allergies/sensitivities.
At 5:30 pm, there will be an introduction circle so that we all have the opportunity to make new community connections.
FARMER SLIDESHOWS: Enjoy stories from the fields of local farmers. We're looking for farmers to sign up to share highlights and challenges from your farm. Please get in touch with Brittny Anderson: columbiabasin@youngagrarians.org. Format: 10 minutes, 10 slides.
This event is funded by Columbia Basin Trust.
