Third Annual East meets West
While the line-up for this event is still being finalized, the concert will feature an exotic and beautiful blend of eastern and western live music, mystic poetry and story, and an international dinner of fine foods. A silent auction and craft table will also be featured.
All proceeds go to the Himat initiative in northern Pakistan which has trained approximately 12,000 people in topics that build their capacity to take on development initiatives that improve their economic and social wellbeing. This project has also supported the creation of around 300 new small businesses (many of which are women-led), village and area level savings and loans programs, and a special initiative that is helping more than 100 ultra-poor people climb the ladder toward sustainable wellbeing.
