Martin Methodist College Presents Darryl Worley in Concert
On February 9, 2019, Martin Methodist College will celebrate Homecoming with a member of the class of 1984, County Music Legend Darryl Worley. Born and raised in southern Tennessee by a Methodist minister and a church-choir mom he describes as a prayer warrior, Worley started his musical career at the FAME Studio in Muscle Shoals. As the years passed, and he gained confidence in his ability as a performer and a songwriter, Worley found his way to Nashville. There, he secured a recording deal in 1999 on the basis of some demo recordings that showcased his authoritative vocals and his understanding of the hard-working country audience. Today, Worley has scored nearly 20 hit singles and three chart-topping hits with the self-penned Awful, Beautiful Life and the poignant Have You Forgotten, which spent an astonishing seven weeks at No. 1 as well as I Miss My Friend.
The concert is sponsored by Cardin Distributing, Inc. and Kirkpatrick Homes, Inc.
