You're invited to our very first dinner in the new East Bay Eats series!
East Bay Eats, formerly Sunday Suppers, brings community together to raise money for different non-profit organizations working in the East Bay. Every other month, we'll be hosting a family-style, community dinner at some of the area's most beloved restaurants. Join us to Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is!
To date, our work has raised over $275K for a variety of incredible organizations. We did not want to let this successful event series come to an end; East Bay Eats is a new incarnation of these fundraising dinners, unaffiliated with Charlie Hallowell's restaurant group.
Join us January 20th at Chez Panisse, to support the incredible work of Acta Non Verba: Youth Urban Farm Project (ANV), which elevates life in Oakland by challenging oppressive dynamics and environments through urban farming. Our primary goal is to create a safe and creative outdoor spaces for children, youth, and families in East Oakland. Participating youth plan, plant, harvest, and sell culturally-relevant produce from the farm, with 100% percent of the proceeds deposited into bank accounts designed to enable low-income families to save toward education.
Representatives from Acta Non Verba will share information about their work, and we will be raising additional funds at the event for the organization.
Tickets cost $100 per person, wine included, for a multicourse, prix-fixe meal.
